Legal Entity / Asset Protection Trust Transfer Request
Due to the FinCEN Residential Real Estate Reporting requirements (effective March 1, 2026), IN A PINCH Document Preparation Services (IAP) will no longer transfer any real property into an entity without obtaining a Title Endorsement to the existing policy of title insurance AND/OR procuring a new Title Insurance Policy to ensure all reporting requirements are met, if applicable. The following information is requested to first determine if IAP is able to assist with a transfer(s) to a Limited Liability Company /
Corporation / Partnership Agreement / Asset Protection Trust or other entity.
WHAT TO EXPECT FOR AN ENTITY TRANSFER
Step #1: An order will be placed with an IN A PINCH representative for Title Endorsement Coordination. A fee of $400.00 will be due at this time. If the endorsement request is approved, we will move on to Step #2. If the insuring Title Company cannot/will not endorse the existing policy of title insurance, a refund will be made for 50% of the fee paid ($200.00).
Step #2: An order will be placed with an IN A PINCH representative for the documents needed for the transfer. Fees for same are posted on our website (Fee Page). There will also be a fee to the insuring title company for the Endorsement fee which will range from $100.00 to $200.00.
Step #3: You will be contacted by the insuring Title Company’s representative to complete the FinCEN Process. The fee for this service can run anywhere from $199.00 to $400.00 depending on the insuring Title Company. Note: If the insuring Title Company does not handle the FinCEN reporting, then IN A PINCH shall handle this through a third-party reporting company (FRS). The fee ranges from $199 to $275 depending on whether you wish to pay for a rush service (5 business days) and/or cannot complete the process electronically. IN A PINCH will not charge any additional fees other than what is shown on our Contract at time of placing the order.
EXAMPLE: A typical one document transaction will run approximately $1,150 with all fees, including recording fees to appropriate County. This breakdown is on our website however, we will be happy to review same on a case-by-case basis. THE ENTIRE PROCESS may take up to 2-3 weeks.
If you believe your entity is wholly owned (100% owned by the same exact party(ies) continuing to hold the exact same proportionate interest) by the party(ies) who is/are currently holding title, please complete the form below:
